Hey guys, Sorry, just wondering if we're sorted for this workshop tonight. Has anybody been in touch with Alan Kinsella (sorry, I don't have his number) to confirm that he's running the workshop at 7pm tonight? Joe, did you ever manage to sort out the venue for this? It's been advertised in the announce-drama e-mail and on the web-site as the Venue but the Venue is booked for David Kitt so we'll probably have to stick up signs in the venue tewlling people to go to xg14 or whatever. Eoin, Stephen and I have rehearsals for 'All My Sons' so we won't be able to make the workshop but it'd be cool of we could get a few committee members there. This has probably all been sorted whatever but I just wanted to check and make sure, Joey

Morning all, Firstly, the socs ball. As already stated in Elaine's email, each society can pre-purchase up to 30 socs ball tickets on monday between 9 and 11. I will sort this out. However, the ordinary members need to be informed so i would suggest that we send out an email to them stating that we will have 30 tickets to sell, and that we will sell them on a first come, first served basis on,say, tuesday outside the venue between 10 and 12, or whenever. If nobody objects to this, i will send out an email saying this this evening. Secondly, Broadway. Plane tickets booked!!! Bob has suggested a final price of €430, however i believe that rounding it up to €450 would be a good idea, so as to have a little extra cash in case of any possible emergency. If we still have the money at the end of the trip, we can refund it to the people, or blow it on something. If we agree on €450, then I suggest that the remaining €300 bwe paid in 2 installments of €150 on nov1 and dec1, ensuring that we have the cash before xmas. Also, all those going are advised to get travel insurance. available from all the usual suspects. AIB have 5 day insurance, for €30. If nobody objects to any of the above, i will send out an email to the 30 people later tonight.

Hey gang, Well, first of all greetings from Italy. Second of all, aaaaaaarghh!, Fuckers dont believe in the internet! Im currently behind the reception desk of the hotel, cos thats the only place they have the net. Jebus! Anyhoo, will somebody contact Elaine about getting pre-sale socs ball tickets? Im thinking maybe 25 for Drama, and we can sell them to our members (who have been asking for tix). We need to pay up front with a cheque (shane) so I would max it out at about 30. [Drama-Committee] Potential Third Entry for the 'One Act Wonder'

Hey guys, I was thinking about trying to get another entry for the 'One Act Festival' up and running. I thought that maybe we could just get a group together and try to improvise a show completely from scratch. There seems to be huge interest in acting this year and it would be cool if people who weren't cast in the panto, 'All My Sons' or the other one-act plays got to be in a production of some kind this semester. As far as I can remember, we're entitled to two 45 minute slots in the festival and I doubt that the two plays we've got already will require that length of time. If anybody has any reservations about this, please let me know. If not, I'd like to maybe make an announcement after Alan's acting workshop tomorrow and go from there. Joey P.S. Hey, Just looking at that DLI letter about the acting workshop. It's not actually going ahead until 5th November so I don't think I'll bother mentioning it in the announce-drama e-mail. It seems kinda targeted at people who are actually on drama committees and I actually wouldn't mind going myself. We just need to let them know the three names by the 28th October.
